Phone calls with my dad were some of my favourite things in recent years. He always had a latest project or thing he was doing... whether that was writing to the local council on issues affecting him and his neighbours ..like road flooding issues or phone masts or recycling bins!

Or maybe my dad was indulging his love of music by going upto Guildford to visit his favourite hangout at Bens record shop..where he would often buy and exchange records.  He loved his Opera and various classical and choirs and had a vast record collection...which he listened to regularly on his old but top quality Hifi.

Or maybe he was just at his computer doing some research or typing up a book of his ..or contacting council government or one of the many friends and charities he loved dearly. He also kept his files in a beautifully tidy order!(of which we are now very grateful!)

My dad also had a great sense of humour which he handed out with his cheeky grin!

I have to say though that the thing i loved most about my dad was his great love for Jesus and the knock on effect that had to those he came into contact with. He was always loving but bold in his faith. I loved our conversations especially our phone calls where we shared our passion for Jesus and The Gospel and ways that was working out in our lives. I will truly miss those calls.

My dad wasn't only my dad and the best any could ask for but he was my spiritual Father too. His love for Jesus impacted my life so profoundly that i will be forever grateful. Thank you God for blessing me with a dad like mine!
